It is a legal requirement now for any person who exercises some level of control in a premises to take steps to reduce the risk of fire and make sure that any occupants can escape to a place of safety, should a fire occur.

The usual way to determine the risk of fire within a building is to conduct a Fire Risk Assessment and Darkstorm Integrated Risk Management can complete these on your behalf. Our experienced staff will evaluate your operation and your premises and determine the risk level. They will then develop a detailed Action Plan to help you prioritise any remedial works that may be necessary.

The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 requires you, or someone nominated on your behalf to conduct a Fire Risk Assessment and the Fire and Rescue Services around the Country are expecting to see these when they inspect.

Each Policy covers a number of points including:

• Persons at risk

• Fire Hazards at the time of assessment

• The Emergency Plan for safely evacuating the building

• The Fire Safety Policy of the business

• A breakdown of those persons likely to be at risk from fire

• A breakdown of any persons with disabilities that may be at an increased risk of fire due to evacuation difficulties

• The safe occupancy of the building

In addition to Fire Risk Assessments we offer a range of fire safety training, including _ day fire marshal training including activation of extinguishers and the control of real fires using our portable gas simulator – only when you have truly put a fire out yourself will you take fire safety seriously!
